Hashi Mohamed is a barrister at No5 Chambers and was called to the Bar in 2010 by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. Hashi acts for private employers and institutions, local and central governments, individuals and companies in both private and public law disputes.
Hashi’s practice is a mixture of public and private law. He has a keen interest in Public and Administrative Law, covering environmental and planning law, human rights and civil liberties. He similarly has an interest in general commercial litigation in London and in the Dubai International Financial Centre (the DIFC)
In the March 2014 and 2015 edition, Hashi was listed as one of the highest rated planning barristers in England & Wales under the age of 35 in the Planning Magazine’s annual Planning Legal Survey.
Before coming to the Bar, Hashi spent two years working as a broadcast journalist at the BBC, working on its flagship programmes such as Newsnight, Today Programme and the BBC News Channel.
Hashi is Fluent in Somali and French and is currently studying Arabic.
